20 free hours

NEST Centres offer free attendance for up to 20 hours for all 3 and 4 year olds.

All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 20 hours ECE for up to 6 hours a day and 20 hours per week.

• • The 20 hours ECE cannot be carried over to another week.

  • The 20 hours ECE starts when a child turns 3 and finishes when they turn 5 (or 28 days after their birthday if they do not attend school).

  • The 20 hours ECE bookings must be for a minimum 2 sessions per week, with each session being for 5 hours.

TO APPLY

To be eligible for 20 hours ECE you are required to complete the application in the enrollment pack.

Your child can use the 20 hours ECE at more than one ECE service, provided the total does not exceed 20 hours per week.

If your child attends the centre for more than 6 hours per day, a fee for sequential hour will apply.
