NESTS NZ Ltd offer Nurturing Environmentally-Sustainable Teaching Services (NESTS) to support the Owner Operated Early Learning Centres.

At NESTS we have a family ethos and believe that children need to feel safe and have a sense of belonging in their ‘home away from home.’ This is reflected in our philosophy which underpins the course design, delivery and assessments for the NEST Early Learning Centres. Our goal is for every child to spend their day in an environment where self-esteem, love, learning and respect for others are prominent and to leave each day feeling secure and loved in their special environment. NESTS Early Learning Centres offer a homelike setting with a garden where children are able to enjoy nature and learn to respect their environment.

We recognise the individual learning strengths of every child and believe we all learn most effectively through our own special learning style.

Children are unique individuals with an individual learning style. All staff learn to identify each child’s special learning strengths and develop a programme that supports this. The centres operate with high ratios and qualified teachers who are able to provide a programme based on Te Whariki – the Early childhood Curriculum. We celebrate being New Zealanders and use waiata, te reo and tikanga maori to help our children value their bicultural heritage

Nests Centres differ from most kindergartens, preschools and childcare centres with children of all ages being able to play together and interact with one another as they would at home. This means that siblings can develop close relationships. Each child has a primary caregiver who takes a special interest in the child for the whole time they are at the centre.
