At NESTS we have a familywhanau ethos embracing the concept of tuakana teina where children of all ages play and learn together and interact with one another in their 'home away from home.
Our goal is for every child/tamariki to spend their day in an environment where self-esteem, love, learning and respect for others are prominent and to leave each day feeling secure and loved in their special environment.
NESTS Early Learning Centres offer a homelike setting with a garden where children are able to enjoy nature and learn to respect their environment.
The centres operate with high ratios and qualified teachers/kaiako who are able to provide a programme based on the NZ Early Childhood Curriculum Te Whariki.
We celebrate being New Zealanders and use waiata, te reo and tikanga maori to help our children value their bicultural heritage
Each child has a primary teacher/kaiako who takes a special interest in the child for the whole time they are at the centre.
